Intended for children five and up this app brings you the story in wonderfully illustrated pages ripe with animation, video and fun. We found that children as young as almost four actually enjoyed the app as our tiny testers checked it out and put it through its paces. You will note in the video you have the opportunity to have the professional narrator read the story, you or your child can read it themselves or you can record your own voices to have the book read by yourselves at a later time. This is a wonderful way to interact with your child when you cannot be there with them or for the child to practice their own reading skills.

After as well as when reading the story your child has a variety of activities they can enjoy, including painting scenes from the story, puzzles and not one but two games. Our tiny testers especially liked the engaging archery game where Merida and Angus discover the true meaning of bravery as they gallop through the woods shooting makeshift targets with a bow and arrows.

There wasn’t anything about the Disney Brave app that we found disappointing and as usual they live up to their high quality standards of excellence. This is an app that children will return to over and over again as it grows with them.

We recommend you add the Disney Pixar iPad app to your preschool through grade school aged children’s iPad library,
